She became an entrepreneur in 2018, and has started and scaled three other companies.
Janeen is constantly inspired by the younger generations and has a drive to lead young women to success, financial freedom and to achieve generational wealth.
What is an achievement that you are very proud of?
In less than a year, we were able to go from 3 staff members to 70. As EmpowHERto is my passion project, it’s so nice to have others believe in the vision as well.
What is a piece of advice that you could offer others who would like to follow in your path?
Do you research first! Find people in your industry that are doing what you want to do, build relationships and make sure this is your purpose you are pursuing.
What has kept you feeling driven and motivated even during the harder parts of entrepreneurship?
Being able to pursue my purpose. Seeing the vision of other successful non profits come to light and knowing we will be there soon .
What made you decide to pursue your business?
Meeting many young women who were mentor-less and realizing there is a gap when it comes to teach young women about entrepreneurship and how to be leaders.
How do you hope to see your business grow?
Eventually, I would like us to be HUGE, one of the top non profits in Canada. With the right grants and funding, this can allow us to grow 4x what we currently are.
Is there a message you’d like to share with other female entrepreneurs?
We no longer live in a man’s world, it’s our time to lead and take over.
How has CanWCC helped you?
I just became a member but I’m anticipating building new relationships.
