MEDIA RELEASE: Canadian Women’s Chamber Of Commerce Announces Start Of Term For New Advisory Board

[TORONTO, ON.  February 4, 2025]  –  The Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CanWCC) is excited to announce its newly appointed Advisory Board members, a dynamic group of thought leaders, innovators, and industry experts who will play a key role in supporting the organization’s mission to advance gender and economic equity for women business owners across Canada.

“We are beyond delighted to welcome our refreshed Advisory Board,” said Catherine Chan, CanWCC’s Chief Operating Officer. “As a small team working on a national scale, we rely on our advisors to help our leadership team with critical insights and feedback, helping the whole organization to navigate the evolving landscape of challenges and opportunities that women entrepreneurs face today.

Chan continued, “Their input will be instrumental as we continue working toward gender and economic equity for women in Canada; we truly value these diverse perspectives and collaborative exchanges and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll help us make.”

The Advisory Board is made up of professionals from across Canada and includes a variety of backgrounds, ages and business expertise. With such a rich mix of experiences, the board will help the CanWCC leadership team ensure its initiatives remain fresh, relevant, and effective in meeting the evolving needs of women entrepreneurs across the country.

CanWCC is excited about the future as it continues to champion women business owners and drive progress on key issues like access to capital, policy reform, and breaking down the barriers women entrepreneurs face. With the support of its Advisory Board, CanWCC is poised to achieve even greater milestones on its journey toward equity and inclusion.
