MEDIA RELEASE: Canadian Women’s Chamber Of Commerce Announces New, Expanded Board of Directors

[TORONTO, ON.  January 30, 2025] – The Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CanWCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of several new members to its Board of Directors, marking the beginning of an expanded governing body that will further the organization’s mission and growth. This expansion aligns with the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to ensuring robust leadership as it advocates for women-owned businesses and economic inclusion.

The newly appointed board members bring a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives across multiple sectors, including technology, law, finance, communications, and social innovation. This expansion reflects CanWCC’s dedication to fostering a board that is as dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking as the membership and community it serves.

The current board of directors includes:

Last year, CanWCC passed new bylaws, reinforcing its strong commitment to creating a governance structure that will support its continued efforts to drive meaningful change in advancing gender and economic equity for women business owners

These bylaws emphasize the incorporation of feminist principles in all Chamber operations, governance, and decision-making processes. The newly expanded board will be guided by these progressive values, ensuring that CanWCC’s mission remains firmly rooted in social justice and gender equity.

CanWCC’s advocacy for policies that break down systemic barriers for women business owners will be strengthened by the new board and their deep understanding of the challenges that women business owners and entrepreneurs face across Canada.
