What is an achievement that you are very proud of?
I am able to help many humans in their leadership journey by coaching, advising and mentoring, through my life experiences, knowledge and research.
What is a piece of advice that you could offer others who would like to follow in your path?
Follow your inner strengths of empathy, grit and emotional intelligence. Don’t give up when you encounter a downturn in life as there will be an upturn of life.
What has kept you feeling driven and motivated even during the harder parts of entrepreneurship?
I am driven by the fact that my initiative is critical for young women and three generations of women in professions to be respected as leaders without questioning their leadership capabilities and their humanistic competencies.
What made you decide to pursue your business?
The experiences I had as a leader in the professional world and as a leader in the non-profit world compelled me to start a global platform “Leadership IN Women”. Even, as a person of high competencies, education and intelligence, I am still automatically sidelined as “non-leader” entity, based on perceptions associated with gender, ethnicity and color. This is a universal perception about hundreds of millions of women working hard around the world in non-traditional industries like sciences, engineering, architecture, technology and many more. This status-quo of our societal conscious and unconscious biases towards women and minorities is the driving force behind the foundation of Leadership IN Women.
How do you hope to see your business grow?
I hope LIW to have the momentous growth where we will connect women in all industries where the percentage of women leaders is under ten percent. LIW will Inspire women to continue to develop against the odd stacks in front of them. Together, women will thrive as leaders in all professions to a point where they will not be sidelined as leaders based on their gender, ethnicity and color. I hope everyone will help me in growing the “Leadership IN Women” platform.
