Toronto, ON and Abbotsford, British Columbia (April 15, 2019) – With nearly 14 percent of Canadian women starting or running their own business, two national organizations recently launched a partnership to help support them. The Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CanWCC) and GroYourBiz™ (GYB) will provide their respective members access to benefits such as peer business advisory boards, resources, mentoring, skill development, discounts on services, and the ability to leverage each other’s respective and collective capabilities for the benefit to help female entrepreneurs develop professionally and expand their business.
“All businesses, no matter their size, face similar issues: cost control, marketing, human resource struggles, business succession, global expansion and increased competition to name a few,” said Barbara Mowat, President, GroYourBiz™. “GYB is thrilled to form a partnership with CanWCC, utilizing their resources for all our communities. By leveraging our two organizations, we will provide women business leaders to further develop professionally and expand their business for even greater success.”
GYB and CanWCC recognize the importance of working with female leaders and our organizations look forward to providing these entrepreneurs with the tools and support they need to make their businesses better and successful in a meaningful way.
“CanWCC is Canada’s first and only Chamber of Commerce that represents the unique voice of women-identified business owners and entrepreneurs. Our partnership with GroYourBiz (GYB) will further our mandate to provide our members with opportunities to advance their business. CanWCC’s overarching message to its membership has been to “take action”. The partnership with GYB provides a concrete method to do exactly that” stated Nancy Wilson, CEO, CanWCC.
