MEDIA RELEASE: CanWCC Launches Its Inaugural Advisory Board

MEDIA RELEASE – 

[TORONTO, CANADA, May 20, 2023] – The Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CanWCC) announces new members of its Advisory Board, whose goal is to bring the voices of diverse women-identifying and nonbinary entrepreneurs in Canada.

The Advisory Board’s primary purpose is to bring a variety of skills, experiences, perspectives, and solutions to CanWCC’s advocacy, activities, and operations with the goal of helping the organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives.

These objectives include: providing insight and recommendations regarding entrepreneurship in Canada; providing insight and feedback on CanWCC’s advocacy work, operations, special projects and other activities; and assisting CanWCC in understanding the changing entrepreneurial landscape in Canada and how it impacts women and nonbinary entrepreneurs, both negatively and positively. 

“I am delighted to welcome these incredible women to our Board of Advisors. The support and expertise of leaders such as these are crucial to CanWCC’s expansion and development,” said Nancy Wilson, founder and CEO of the Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Wilson continued, “We are building a historically significant institution that will serve future generations of diverse women-identified and non-binary business owners. This institution will change policy at the highest level and, in doing so, will improve lives and the economy. CanWCC is a truly unique organization. It is part chamber of commerce and part social justice organization by virtue of its membership and the advocacy issues we take on.”
